Our Story

For more than a decade we have delivered a range of services to unlock the potential of people facing complex barriers to employment. We work closely with businesses to create sustainable job opportunities for people, helping organisations innovate and access a skilled and dedicated workforce they might not have otherwise accessed.

We are a social change organisation working with some of the most marginalised individuals and communities, often experiencing multiple and complex challenges. Jesuit Social Services works where the need is greatest and where we have the capacity, experience, and skills to make the most difference.

We are a national organisation with a strong footprint in Victoria, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory where we support more than 57,000 individuals and families annually.

Our history in this space

Since 1977, Jesuit Social Services has supported individuals, families and communities to lead productive and fulfilling lives, and to reach their potential.

Our work began providing supported accommodation to young men exiting the criminal justice system. Today, we still deliver a range of programs to help men, women and children who have contact with or are at risk of contact with the justice system. These programs help to keep people out of prison and get their lives back on track. We strive to ensure that people leaving prison can successfully transition back into the community.

For more than a decade, we have also delivered a range of education, training and employment programs to people who face barriers to mainstream education and work. This includes people who have had contact with the justice system.

Working closely with participants as well as employers, we have successfully placed more than 700 people with justice involvement into employment through the Jobs Victoria Employment Network program.  The work does not end there – as we maintain contact for up to 12 months to ensure a successful outcome for all parties.

We bring this extensive history working with participants and employers to Inclusive Employment Australia. Whether you are looking for work, looking for staff, or looking to refer somebody to the program, we look forward to connecting with you soon.
