Jesuit Social Services is a social change organisation working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential. For almost 50 years we have been working with some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised members of our communities, who often experience multiple and complex challenges. We are a national organisation with a significant footprint in Victoria, New South Wales (NSW) and the Northern Territory (NT).
We work where the need is greatest and where we have the capacity, experience and skills to make the most difference.

Inclusive Employment Australia currently operates in the Bayside, Calder, Plenty, Westgate and Yarra regions of Victoria.
Our site locations are in Sunshine, Broadmeadows, Epping, Fitzroy and Dandenong.
We support participants from the time they register with us, through the job search process, and after they start work. We continue to support both the participant and their employer for up to 12 months, depending on individual circumstances.
Our support includes:
Help you to explore vocational pathways
Assist with employment preparedness and resilience strategies
Help you to build your skills so you are ready for work
Link you with services and supports to address other barriers getting in the way of work
Link you to real and meaningful employment opportunities
Working with employers to make workplace adjustments
We work across all industries. We have a strong history in construction, trades, warehousing, and hospitality, but we can support participants in any sector.
Participants must be 16 years or older.
If a participant falls out of work, we continue to support them to build confidence and skills for the next opportunity. We remain engaged for as long as the participant wishes, until they secure sustainable employment.
Any form of intersection qualifies — this may include cautions, registered offences, or other contact, regardless of how long ago it occurred.
Somebody with a work capacity of 30 hours or less per week due to a disability, injury, or health condition.
Based on our previous employment programs:
Of participants placed into work, over 50 per cent remained employed after 6 months.
For participants referred by the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), the recidivism rate was under 10 per cent, compared to a norm of around 40 per cent.
Over the past seven years, we have placed approximately 700 people with a justice background into employment.
We work closely with community organisations and programs that support people post-release, including:
Headspace
YSAS
Monash Health
Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) referrals
We also connect with early intervention programs such as proactive policing units.
Common barriers include navigating Centrelink, understanding referral processes, and managing justice-related obligations.
We address these by:
Providing specialist staff who can guide participants through Centrelink registration
Offering direct registration with Inclusive Employment Australia
Tailoring support to individual needs
We are the only specialist provider in Australia dedicated to supporting people with justice system involvement into employment.
With over 10 years’ experience working with justice clients in employment and many more in broader justice support programs, we understand the unique challenges participants face, including:
Corrections orders
Curfews
Parole obligations
Our expertise means we can help participants and employers successfully navigate these challenges.
